Brewer Chats its Way Across the USA
Third-graders at Washington Street School have traveled to five states this year and are planning trips to every other state in the nation before the school year is out.
The kids, age 8 or 9, went to Minnesota first, then Tennessee, Utah and Illinois, and were at Pine Valley Elementary School in Wilmington, N.C., on Friday.

Brewer 3rd Graders Collaborate with Minnesota Students
Students in Mrs. MacInnes’ 3rd grade classroom have been using a web-conference format to communicate with 3rd graders in Eadin, Minnesota.
Each year 3rd grade students in Eadin learn about the New England region. 3rd graders in Brewer learn about the state of Maine, its forests, mammals and birds. Students from each state generated questions about life in Maine/Minnesota.
