Cheer Team Fundraiser to Fight Cancer

For the second year in row, the Brewer High School Cheerleading team is participating in the Links of Hope Challenge with Hampden Academy. This is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, and each $1 donation is represented by a link in a paper chain.

At halftime of the last home football game, which is against Hampden, the two teams will stretch their paper chains across the football field to see whose chain is the longest. Last year, this fundraiser was held during basketball season and the two teams combined to raise over $3000, with Brewer winning the challenge by raising $1892 for the American Cancer Society.

If you are interested in participating in this event, you can see any BHS cheerleader or coach (Jenny Corneil or Brewer Community School counselor Nancy Snowdeal). They have the ability to accept donations by cash, credit card, or PayPal.

You can also donate on facebook--but be sure it is under "Brewer Cheering's Relay for Life Fundraiser" If it is not donated to our specific fundraiser, the team won’t get credit for the donation. Here is the link to our facebook fundraiser page:

Please feel free to also share this link by posting it on your own facebook page. The more everyone spreads the word, the more awareness and money can be raised for this important cause.
