Dear BCS Families,
We are so happy to be writing this letter welcoming you back to Brewer Community School for the 2020-2021 school year. Although more information will be coming out as we get closer to September, we wanted to reach out in order to share some important highlights with you.
Most families have picked up student belongings left here in the spring. If you think you have something here from last year that you need returned, please call the school to arrange for pick-up by 8-21.
At this point, class lists and group A/B assignments have been finalized. Any family not following the A-K (group A), and L-Z (group B) rule should have been notified. If you don’t know what days your child(ren) are assigned to, or who their Grade 1-6 classroom teacher is, please call the school office. Kindergarten classroom placements have been mailed to families and Pre-K will notify their families of teacher assignment once their screening process is completed.
Our grade level teams have each provided a welcome letter and list of school supplies for their students, which we have linked below and have also posted on our website. Please remember that the school has everything your child needs, but these lists are provided each summer as a suggestion for families who prefer to purchase their own.
For planning purposes, here are our modified arrival and dismissal times for those who are transporting their child(ren) to school. For families with children at multiple grade levels, you may drop any middle school students off during the middle school times, and any elementary students during the elementary times. We ask that you do not drop students off early, as there will not be supervision before the times listed below. Please remind your child(ren) to put their face covering on before they exit the vehicle.

Grades 7 & 8 Drop off - 7:30-7:45
Grades 5 & 6 Drop off - 7:45-8:00
Elementary Arrivals
Grades 3 & 4 Drop off - 8:00-8:15
Grades 1 & 2 Drop off - 8:15-8:30
Grades PK & K Drop off - 8:30-8:40
MS Dismissals
Grades 7 & 8 Pick up - 1:45
Grades 5 & 6 Pick up - 2:00
Elementary Dismissals
Grades 3 & 4 Pick up - 2:35
Grades 1 & 2 Pick up - 2:45
Grades PK & K Pick up - 2:55
