Dear families,

January was a very busy month here at school. In case you did not see the article on Maine’s Positive Story of the day, BCS was featured earlier this week! Brianne Lolar, Kaya Lolar and John Neptune, all Panawahpskek citizens, visited BCS on Wednesday, January 17th.  Their visit was to celebrate the learning that has taken place in 2nd grade about Wabanaki Studies.

During the last week in January, our school participated in “The Great Kindness Challenge.” Throughout the week, students were encouraged to perform random acts of kindness. Several students were also recognized throughout the month for going above and beyond to be kind in our school and community.

February 17th is National Random Acts of Kindness Day.  Let’s take this opportunity to perform random acts of kindness and inspire others to do the same!
