“Maine” Spring has arrived! It could snow in the morning and be sunny and 75 at dismissal. Please help our students dress for the current weather conditions. Dressing in layers or simply packing the jacket just in case is a great idea! We have been lending out a lot of jackets for recess to students who underestimated the chilly spring wind.

Morning drop off is 7:30-7:50 am for Middle School students and 8:10-8:30 am for Elementary. Students should not enter the school prior to these set arrival times, this includes the vestibule.  We ask that parents not drop their students early as we do not have staff to monitor them.

The warmer weather has students riding bicycles and scooters to school. A few reminders, all students under age 16 are required to wear bike helmets and bikes and scooters must be parked outside in the bike racks. There has also been an increase in E bikes. There are many rules and regulations concerning these bikes. Please see the attached information and then reach out to Officer Chubbuck with any further questions.

BCS Leaders

The 4th Grade Leadership Council is a group of students in the fourth grade who are chosen to represent their peers. Students work together to plan and organize events, discuss and address issues that are important to students in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade, and serve as role models for other students. Being a part of the council allows students to develop their leadership skills, learn about teamwork, and make a positive impact on their school. Our 4th grade leaders are enjoying helping the younger students in classrooms, in the cafeteria, on the playground, and in the main office.
