The Brewer School Department is deeply shocked and saddened to learn that one of our high school seniors, Jordan Parkhurst, died in a car crash on Saturday evening. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jordan’s family and friends during this most difficult time. Jordan made our school community a better place. Brewer High School has activated a crisis response team and will have counselors and supports in place for all students and staff members when return to school on Monday morning, November 18. We would like to thank Brewer Public Safety for working with the Brewer School Department I’m dealing with this tragedy.

Ms. Hall's class has been learning about honeybees and why they are so important to us. They really enjoyed learning from Ms. Hall's father, Roger Reed, and daughter, Mandy Barrington. Students were able to try on beekeeping clothing and see what a hive and tools look like.

Way to Be: School Wide Expectations
We hope that all of our BCS families had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend. This is just a reminder that when school resumes this week, middle school students should not arrive at BCS prior to 7:30 and elementary students prior to 8:10. We appreciate the efforts of students, families, and staff to make the first two days a success and we are looking forward to greeting students as they arrive tomorrow to start week two.
